The Right Properties for Every Requirement

Every application is different and every PTFE component needs to satisfy a different set of requirements. The solution is modified PTFE, i.e., compounds. A compound is a plastic that has been given very specific properties through the addition of fillers, allowing the following properties of PTFE to be modified, for example:

  • Increase in wear resistance
  • Reduction of cold flow under load
  • Marked increase in thermal conductivity
  • Reduction of thermal expansion
  • Change in electrical properties of the PTFE matrix
